Christina Claps on Rachel's 5th Birthday!

Today is Rachel's 5th Birthday! She is so sweet. We had a very nice time at her party over the weekend. Happy birthday Rachel! So today I was clapping and saying "yay" like I always do with Christina and she dropped her rice krispy treat (packaged!) and started clapping and saying "yay"! I was so shocked and excited! I called Avery to tell him and before I could get it out he said "oh yeah, she loves to clap"! OMG he totally didn't tell me and he doesn't know when she started doing it so I'm just going to count today as her first day! hee hee It's precious! Christina is just growing by leaps and bounds. She is so sweet and she loves to crawl and chase you or have you chase her. She gets so excited! She is happy every single day and she has an amazing personality. She is so wonderful and she makes my heart smile.

AJ Update

The therapist is going to begin working with him weekly starting Wednesday. He's doing great on his own, though. He is laughing alot. He gets happier every day. He and his sister are the happiest babies and it's wonderful. He started screaming again...round 2...another phase...shorter than the first screaming phase we are hoping because it's VERY loud. I've never heard a baby scream that loud before. Wow. All in all he's picking up everything at his own pace, he's happy and we are doing awesome at learning to feed him and medicate him. I wouldn't have said "awesome" yesterday, but tonight and last night were very uplifting for me and he had the same foods as his sister and enjoyed every bite! He's a very lovey, huggy, affectionate baby. He lights up when he sees you and when you play patty cake with him, his eyes light up with sheer joy. He is pure joy for me. Christina Walks

This isn't a good video of her walking, but it was the best I could do. They always do their best walking when you aren't filming! She does quite well especially on hard surfaces. What a big girl!

AJ and the Simples

Wiggle Worm gets a remote...

She is always taking daddy's remote controls...so mommy got her one for her very own. This is a very happy girl.

No matter where it is, she finds it. I have since moved the shelf up so she can't get to the books because she likes to eat them.

Sleeping Angels

New BIG BABY Jammies

I don't know where the time went. I wish I could just relive one day from when they were first born. I knew I'd feel this way but there is just nothing you can do to stop time. It is just crazy to me that tonight the babies are wearing jammies that are sized 12 months. They are just precious.

AJ in his swing

AJ loves his swing. It's a good relaxing place for him and he really does enjoy it when he is tired. He has this thing that he does with his foot. He puts it up on the side of the swing and he just seems to be hanging out very comfortably. I think it's just adorable.

Charicature

Their daddy spent the day with them today. One place they went was a community where Lawrence lives and they were having their community day. Avery enjoys this day each year (especially the fish sandwich). This year they had a guy there doing Charicatures for FREE! He made this adorable drawing of the twins.

First Bath Together...without "baby" tub!

They are "BIG" babies now! Too big for the baby tub! I got them a really cute ELMO mat for the tub so they wouldn't slip and slide and put them in the tub together. We didn't have much water, but enough that they could splash and I could wash them. They had a wonderful time.

After Bath Cuteness!

Tonight after the bath I was trying to dress Christina and she kept trying to escape while still in her towel. I thought Kodak moment of course! And notice AJ looking at me through the mirror. He does that EVERY night while I'm reading them a story.

Happy 4th of July!

We went to my parent's house for the 4th like we always do to spend it with family. Dad cooked out delicious hamburgers and we all visited and had a wonderful time with the kids. I dressed the babies up in their red, white and blue but we didn't attempt to see fireworks this year. They are just too young. They did, however, have cute "little firecracker" onesies to wear to bed that night...just to stay in the spirit of things. I couldn't get a picture of Christina because she was sleeping on her tummy...so AJ is representing for both of them. :-) Twins can do that you know! Here are some pictures to enjoy...and notice it's getting harder and harder to get good pictures in that glider since Christina wants to get OUT as soon as I sit her down and it's harder to get them to smile and laugh at the same time anymore...but I'm not going to stop trying...don't worry :-) Happy 4th everyone!
