Family Beach Trip 2008

Well everybody got well in time to go to the beach...except dad...he couldn't come and Chad's family could not make the trip this year either...which stunk because I wasn't there last year! I really do hope that we are all there for the 2009 trip. That would be really wonderful. We did have alot of fun though...the kids are just wonderful and I really love to be with them. I didn't get as much quality time or "rest" as I would like to have...but Christina and AJ are a little bit of a handful! I had tons of help and the babies had tons of love...it was wonderful! Christina was not loving the sand and water so I do look forward to next year when she really can enjoy it. I did get to go out and play with the big kids some and I had alot of fun! Here are pictures from our wonderful trip. I really love to be with my family...there is nowhere else I'd rather be and I'm glad that my kids can grow up in such a wonderful, supportive and loving family. Enjoy!

Sick Babies

First AJ got sick. He never even seemed to feel bad. He just started vomiting. We thought it was because his glucose level was really high, but in fact it turned out that he had a virus and that made his glucose level very high and not the other way around. After an entire night of vomiting we took him to the ER. It's very hard for AJ to keep his sugar at a good level if he can't keep down food or medication and is becoming dehydrated. Poor baby...another visit to the hospital. At least this time it wasn't mommy and daddy's fault. They had to do another IV and gave him medication for the vomiting. They let us go home, but AJ pretty much vomited for about a week. Christina got sick as well...just not as bad. But she was pitiful as well. Here are pics of the babies during their first virus. Bless their little hearts. I guess twins do everything together.

Grabby & Clingy...My 2 Little Dwarfs

AJ is now grabbing EVERYTHING! He grabs me when I pick him up, my face when I feed him or talk to him, books when I'm reading to him, all the toys around him...and he's finally putting them in his mouth. Every single one! My mom even told me he loves the red block so I gave it to him and he did love it...and wanted to eat it. I'm really excited about him reaching this milestone. He's doing so good. He's so sweet and he belly laughs so much. It's infectious.

Christina is clingy. She doesn't like you to leave the room and she loves to climb up on you and grab on you. She loves to be with you and she loves to be held. This is how my daughter is most of the time when we are home in her room sitting on the floor.

I absolutely love it.

Here are just a couple of cute pics...AJ in all of his major cuteness and Christina how she stands every night looking over at her brother. She loves him and she doesn't love sleep.

Sleepin' with Mommy

Avery started his night job so he can be home with the babies. Since I have more room in bed with me, I have been letting AJ sleep with me. He has had some hard nights and he is up ALOT. He sleeps better when he's in bed with me, he doesn't wake up Christina and I can help him faster if his sugar drops. Once I get his sugar level under control I'll transfer him back to his crib. I don't want to get in too deep and have a huge problem! I do still put him in his crib once Avery gets home from work..it seems the 2nd part of the night he does some better. He is more rested at that point and his sugar level is more stable.

Besides...wouldn't you want this sleeping next to you?
