Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

Annual Christmas Tree Trimming Party

Every year we gather at Mom and Dad's house to set up the tree. This year we got snow and Mom tried to cancel the party...but we showed up anyway! LOL Here is AJ with the toys - he really didn't participate in the decorating.

Girls waiting for Mom to hand them ornaments to put on the tree.

Before decorating and lunch, Ashley takes Christina out in the snow.

AJ excited to be with Mom :-)

Here are a few shots from before the party at Grandma and Aunt Nancy's house. So sweet...I love these pictures!

Time for CHRISTMAS decorations and the TREE!

AJ wanted the crayons more than the Little People Christmas Village!

Christina caught on fast how to decorate the tree!

The both LOVED the Hallmark Snowmen...had a blast playing them over and over and over and over and over and over again!

Thanksgiving 2009

We had Thanksgiving 3 times this year...it's wonderful. We spent time at Nena's house, Ronda's house and at the Memphis house. Great food...wonderful family...amazing memories.

AJ Loves his Grandma...he's so tired.

Aunt Nancy and Andrea weren't wanting to have their picture taken...thank you Grandma!

Rachel put in her bow and threw on her sweater for a photo op...she's a natural!

Love from her big cousin.

Hugging Dee :-)

Grabbing on to Daddy's legs...too many people!

Hanging out at Aunt Ronda's house!

Listening to Joseph's iPod.

Loving my Joseph.

Sittin' on Grandaddy's lap - he's so crazy!

Play-doh Jewelry is HOT!

Check out her homemade bling...she is SO super fly. Do you see the adorable belly button? ;-)

Can Mommy just get ONE picture??

I don't have many pics of me and the babies...i'm always behind the camera. But when we do make an attempt of getting a picture...this is how it goes. Ugh.

Happy Halloween!

This year the twins dressed up in Rutgers gear because, after all, they are Rutger's BIGGEST and smallest fans! We spent Halloween evening at my sister's house with family and we had a wonderful time. Christina got it more this year than last and if AJ was aloud to roam FREE, he was happy!

Paci's are GONE GONE GONE

On Tuesday I talked to Gwen (1 of AJ's therapists) about taking away the Pacis. She said it was time and really okay. It was really MY issue, not the babies. They were going to be fine. Why did I feel like taking them from Christina was like leaving her in an alley somewhere with no protection? No clue. I just could NOT bring myself to be the one to make the decision to take something that she felt she needed and loved so much. So this is what I did.

I went to Toys R Us. I found some Polly Pockets. They look WAY fun. I knew she couldn't resist. I also wanted her to have something for bedtime...just in case! So I got her a Starsong My Little Pony.

I came home and told her that if she wanted the "big girl toys", she needed to throw away her pacis. She refused. So I sat the Polly Pockets out of her reach, but where she could see them and said "sorry, you can't have them if you keep the pacis because pacis are for babies and these are for big girls". About 30 seconds later she went to throw away the paci and came BACK to find the other paci to throw it away too!

At bedtime I gave her Starsong...and since he's a baby pony, he had a paci...and that was okay :-) I put AJ down without his paci - but he never really cared anyway and never fussed.

The next day she asked for her paci a couple of times. We just reminded her that she threw them away...and off she went to play.

It was over that fast. Now when she gets hurt, she wants a Dora Bandaid (Bandaid Dora) - so maybe we are using a little more than we need right now...but that's okay :-)
