AJ's Progress

My little man is growing up fast. With all of his "challenges" he just keeps on smiling and laughing and working hard to keep up with his sister. Here is a little bit about my baby boy.

- AJ is VERY active! Once he got going, there was no stopping him! He will bounce for HOURS all around his room.

- He is biting me! Not because he's angry or upset...just kinda like a bite of excitement when he is running up to you and hugging you! We are working on that.

- Has the best smile with the sweetest dimples - such a little flirt, although SO shy!

- He is showing more interest in eating other things. He isn’t very good at getting it in his mouth yet, but he at least WANTS to!

- He is still screaming - a LOT. Mostly when you take something he wants, I go into another room or downstairs for just a moment or when he doesn't want to eat. He screams lots of other times, but mostly at those times.

- He is still very hot natured although he's so thin and tiny.

- AJ imitates alot. He tries hard to imitate words and sounds now. If I say Book, he will make the "K" sound. If I say "uh oh", he will repeat it. He's doing great.

- He loves to be bounced up and down, he loves to "fall backwards" in your arms and he loves to be kissed.

- He has a woody woodpecker laugh that I pray I can get on video tape! No luck yet!

- He goes to bed VERY well. He loves his seahorse and his aquarium. BUT - he will NOT nap long at all. He is usually screaming for you within 20 minutes and he gets so mad he never stops and throws everything out of his crib. You usually have to nap with him...and alot of times, that's not hard to do.

- He is still very obsessed with fans, blinds, opening and closing doors.

- He seems to really enjoy animals right now. Not to play with for long, but when one of the animals comes around him, he gets very excited!

- AJ is FAST! Not only is he fast, his arms are NEVER ENDING! If you are holding something that he wants you better move fast or he will get it! If you set something down that you do NOT want him to have, better put it back FAR!

- AJ ADORES his sister. Always follows her and grabs on her and wants to play with her! He is excited to see her ALL the time.

- AJ is still having therapy 3 times a week. They are amazing with him and he is improving dramatically every week.

- AJ isn't talking - but does imitate. "Uh Oh!" is his first real word, even if we don't know that he connects it with the meaning. :-)

- He is walking SO well! His balance is improving daily and he NEVER sits down anymore!

- When I come home from work, he's so excited to see me. When he sees his sister or a show on Noggin that he loves he gets super excited. When he's excited he bounces and waves his arms. Adorable.

She starts out each word with "uh" if it's going to be a question, such as "uh aj?" - where is aj? or "uh ON" if she wants the light on or "uh bite?" you get the picture...but these are her words:

AJ is eating so well!

We still have a long way to go...but this is pretty amazing...sitting at the table eating with his sister. Christina is very excited to have her brother with her...and you gotta love the shoes!

Awww...not much there still...but she's just so cute!

Doesn't matter much anyway...there is no way she's keeping them in!
